Henry Ison & Sons Funeral Directors was established more than 100 years ago to serve families in Coventry and Warwickshire. Our founder, Henry Ison, started his working life as a wheelwright before moving into the funeral business at the turn of the 20th century. Today we're still based on Binley Road in Coventry where Henry first started.

Funerals are incredibly personal so everything will be built around your needs.

Henry Ison & Sons Funeral Directors in Coventry is situated on Binley Road. Conveniently located close to the city ring road and a 20 minute walk to the centre of Coventry, there is ample parking available outside. Our Binley Road branch is where Henry Ison & Sons was established more than 100 years ago.
Henry Ison & Sons Funeral Directors in Coventry is situated on Allesley Old Road, next to the Maudslay pub and is about five minutes drive from the city centre. It is on a bus route served by the Number 10,23, 23A and Number 1 buses. It is just over a mile from All Saints Church and three miles from Canley Crematorium.

My Mum has recently passed away and we used Henry Ison as our funeral director. Kim has been absolutely amazing from start to finish and the level of customer service has been first class, the allocated celebrant was also excellent and spent over 2 hours with my Dad preparing for the day. The service went really well and I know my Mum was looked after by the team. I cannot recommend this Director highly enough they have been first class and thanks again Kim for your help in this difficult time

We chose to use Henry Ison and Sons Funeral Directors. Just as well we chose them because the Allesley branch manager Kim that received us lived up to and exceeded our expectations. From the first day we spoke to Kim to the day of burial she engendered confidence with compassion & kind professionalism. My family had many demands which were readily accommodated without hesitation. On day of viewing my Aunty was well prepared and we were allowed to view and spend as much time as possible with her.

My mum passed away suddenly in January and I called Kim who immediately put me at ease and talked through exactly what I needed to do. Nothing was too much trouble and she was so kind throughout the whole process. On the day of the funeral the team made sure everything ran perfectly, they were so professional. Amid overwhelming grief over the sudden passing of our mother, Henry Isons & Sons, partnered with us to give her the kind of homegoing she deserved within the present climate. We arranged Mum's funeral through Kim at the Allesley Old Road branch. Nothing was too great or too small and every question was handled with care and compassion. From the first meeting to the last, Kim helped us through a very difficult time, helping us to create a unique and very personal tribute to Mum, for which we are extremely grateful. I would like to say a massive thank you to Kim for making such a difficult time that little bit more bearable, your service has been nothing but professional and caring from the initial meeting until the day of the funeral, you went above and beyond to ensure that my brother Lionel had the send off he deserved. Chris and his team on the day were so courteous and respectful and the Driver of the horses was amazing.
