Services
Classic Car Restoration Ltd is a family established and run business in Dorset UK. We share a life-long passion for cars, motorcycles, and racing - anything with a motor we're bound to love! The love of classic cars owes to a childhood obsession with motorcycles, particularly motocross racing. During my teenage years, this evolved into a keen interest in the Volkswagen Drag Racing Championship.
At A1 we repair, restore and service both modern classic cars, covering all manufacturers and periods. While the search for parts can be dreaded for some, this is a process we greatly enjoy! We are also a one-stop-shop for moderns cars including, servicing, all types of repairs, and engine rebuilds.
At A1 Classic Car Restoration Ltd we offer full 'nut and bolt' restorations of classic vehicles. Whether you want a classic car capable of regular outings or one that's mainly for show, we have you covered and can adapt our restoration process accordingly! A full restoration follows a three-part process and corresponds with our three-stage approach.
Contact us to speak to one of our expert mechanics to find out what we cover for different levels of servicing. Whether you have a modern or classic car, servicing may seem an unnecessary expense. However, regular servicing ensures your car runs efficiently and trouble-free. By properly maintaining your it, you can avoid costly breakdowns and reduce the risks of inconvenient periods off the road.
There are two key reasons that make engine rebuilds a necessity - wear to engine bearings and poorly seated piston rings. An engine has many moving parts including, the crankshaft, rods, and pistons. These are all mounted on bearings that allow them to move freely. While these bearings are designed to last thousands of miles, over time, they experience wear.
