Our service and restoration department is divided between the Jaguar section which specialises in E Type service and restoration and servicing work on all Jaguars from 50's era to brand new. We have Jaguar Master Tech staff and up to date diagnostic equipment. We also carry out various maintenance works on other classic and sports cars including Ferrari, Lamborghini, Aston Martin and Mercedes etc.

The Classic Connection is your throw back to a bygone era. When black turtle necks were in, cheese and onion Walkers came in a green bag and fuel injection is what you did at the petrol pump.
With our ship's captain, Charles Ramsey at the helm, our goal is to bring that nostalgia back to your life with cars and bikes which span the best decades, memorabilia from your favourite TV and movies and all to be regaled by motoring stories over a cup of fresh ground.

Doting wife of Mr Charles Ramsey, you will often find Andrea shouting profanities at Charles from her office. When she isn't managing Charlie, Andrea is running our new Classic Connection Cafe. When asked to pass comment on how much she enjoys working at The Classic Connection, she politely declined.
We have our own inhouse MOT bay, it is a unique setup still using a pit with original equipment some going back as far as the seventies. We have what they call Grandfather rights which enables us to still work in a way that in some modern garages is not possible. This of course has to still be compliant and is regularly tested and calibrated.
Standing strong since the late 40's Dawson Engineering has been part of the Burley village supplying fuel and offering mechanical work. Now fully owned and controlled by Charles Ramsey, we have kept Dawson Engineering going but added a touch of the classic with a purpose built showroom for you to look through.
Just when you thought Classic Connection couldn't be any better we have gone and added a caf built inside a Citroen H Van. Stop by and grab a brew and pastry whilst getting service work done, topping up your car or looking over our collection. All products are locally sourced in the Dorset & Hampshire area.

I recently tried to purchase a used motorhome from Charles at The Classic Connection, but it turned into an absolute nightmare.
At first, Charles seemed friendly, assuring me everything was perfect with the vehicle. However, as I started digging deeper, I uncovered several disturbing red flags:
The manufacturer had no record of the required services or habitation checks, contradicting what I was told. Charles even tried to deceive me with hand-written notes as "proof" of regular maintenance!
Charles deliberately hid the fact that the motorhome was previously used as a rental by his business partner.
The terms of my £11,000 deposit were never clearly explained. When I tried to cancel after discovering the issues, Charles not only refused to give me a full refund but also tried to pressure and threaten me into closing the deal anyway! He stooped so low as to warn me of legal action if I left an honest review.
Emails and texts with the dealership only highlighted their blatant dishonesty and appalling customer service.
Now, after all the stress and wasted time, Charles is ignoring me and still refusing to return 50% of my deposit - over £5,000! He won't provide any justification for keeping my hard-earned money.
The worst part? Charles knew I had no place to live and had used all my savings on this purchase. But that didn't stop him from trampling on my rights and leaving me in a desperate situation, forced to stay in hotels and Airbnbs while fighting for my refund.
Trust is crucial when making a big purchase like a motorhome. In this case, that trust was shattered by the dealer's lies, manipulative tactics, and attempts to bully me into a sale.
I strongly urge others to stay far away from The Classic Connection. Be extremely cautious, verify everything independently, and document every interaction thoroughly.
I'm still battling to get my full refund, but it's clear this dealership has no integrity and will put you through hell to keep your money.
Don't fall victim to these scammers like I did - take your business elsewhere!

If you're looking for classic cars, fuel and great team, then look no further than Classic Connection! The owner (Charlie) is extremely knowledgeable and can easily have you chatting for hours about cars, which is what you want when looking to buy a car of a classic nature, someone who knows what they're talking about!
