Thornton Park Holiday Home
Wanting to escape to the countryside for walking, cycling, relaxation and site seeing then look no further. Thornton Park Holiday Home is located a short distance from the M62 junction 22 and makes an ideal retreat for guests looking to stay in and around the Ripponden, Sowerby Bridge & Halifax area. It is an ideal base for visiting Huddersfield, Leeds, Manchester, York, the Yorkshire Dales and being on the Lancashire border could also be used for a base for crossing the border to visit all that Lancashire has to offer.
Services
You will let yourselves into the property keys being available in a key safe, the code for which will be provided 24 hours before your arrival. We live next door to the Holiday Home and will greet our guests on or as soon as possible after arrival and will be on hand to offer advice on places of interest, local eateries and any other questions you might have.
There are two local public houses which offer a very high class of food and entertainment on certain evenings with plenty of other excellent places a short car journey away in the village of Ripponden and the town of Sowerby Bridge.

Being in close proximity to the Motorway and 2 local train stations in Sowerby Bridge & Littleborough the world is your oyster for places to visit and to help you decide where to go there is a tourist information folder at the property and the owners will be happy to answer any questions you might have.

Love this store. Close to Snipe Retail Park and with a tram station in front of it, i could not ask for more.
The in house coffee offers great things to eat at good prices and the coffee itself is very nice.
They have so much more than just garden items, household, aquariums and fish, hamsters, parrots and clothing especially for outdoors.
Notcutts in Ashton Park makes a great place even if it is just to visit with the kids or to have a nice cosy coffee.

Breakfast was nice although the various locations fried egg lottery continues, 2 good eggs on the same breakfast seems a challenge to far for many places.
Shop nice and quiet on a Monday morning although I suspect as the Christmas build up continues maybe not so much.

It's not just a garden centre!
Everything that you could want for the garden and so much more.
Christmas has arrived at
Notcutts and it is a wonderland of every colour of bauble imaginable, it really gets you in the festive mood walking down well laid out aisles to suit every taste of Christmas design.
The pet section again has a wide range of products. You can even buy small pets or just ooooo and ahhhh at the baby fluffy bunnies on sale.
Edinburgh wool Mill and Regatta shops are there too.
An aquarium section has a comprehensive range of all requirements and the kids will love looking at

Called in to have coffee and cake in the cafe, which was very busy but nice to see. They were following guidelines for covid rules. The Carrot cake was delicious and the coffee was nice and hot.
The garden centre was very nicely decorated, getting ready for Christmas πŸŽ„. I would highly recommend a visit there.

Absolutely lovely garden centre. Lovely, well cared for plant collection. Aquarium where my kids super enjoyed feeding the fish and a pristinely clean pet section. Will most certainly be visiting again πŸ˜ƒ

Called today for the first time to have lunch with my friend, the cafe was bright and spotless, the staff were helpful and cheerful and the food was lovely. We had a ploughman's each and tea. The food was freshly made and tasty. We had a look round the garden centre and found the plants varied and healthy, and the food, gifts, clothes and cards had something for everyone. The pet section looked spotless and I will be back with the grandchildren next week.

The garden centre has been changed round and now feels bigger. A lovely new floor too😊 we had a drink in the cafe which was ok
The only thing we didn't like were the number of people Not wearing masks or using the hand gel! The threat is not over, the virus can still be fatal I wear mine as I have grandchildren and they could pass the virus to me and I could pass it on to you. We need to take precautions until our immune system kicks in.

Stayed for a week In this secluded and fantastic chalet. cannot praise both the owners and the area more highly. beyond the basics of clean and well provided the chalet has literally everything you could need to self cater or just relax, the attention to detail is exemplary. it is obvious they reflect on what their clients needs may be and anticipate. they even offer a tour of the farm......enjoy

Fabulous place to stay, owners were lovely and had thought of everything to make our stay perfect. Great facilities and a tour of the farm to see the animals and sit in the tractor was a highlight for our sin. Definitely going to be back!!
