Recently bought a home from them not really impressed with how they do business. They will falsely promise to fix stuff and they will not. They completely destroyed our subdivision road and refuse to fix it and say they are not responsible. The companies that work with Allen Edwin dump all the waste paint all down the road. The excavating company that works with Allen edwin is not professional. They will drop a steel track excavator right on the black top and completely ruin the road you drive on. They will tell u what you want to hear and will avoid any contact and confrontation. If they cared

I live in an area where they're going to put in houses. Been living here for 12 years in an older home. They took what was once a nice woods behind existing houses and completely leveled it. Loud equipment starts running at 8AM and doesn't stop 'til sundown. Zero consideration for the natural world or for the people that are already living in the area that they're building in.

We planned a move to Indiana and made a contract with Allen Edwin Homes to build our new home. Their houses were spacious, yard sizes were good, the location was very desirable and yet, the price was reasonable. We went to their design center in Michigan and made our choices. The staff there were very courteous. However, our plan to move did not materialize because of job related issues. Thus we did not have a chance to build the house with Allen Edwin homes, and hence I cannot comment on that experience. Our build experience with Allen Edwin was less than spectacular. Our sales consultant, Lisa Sullivan, was amazing – at first; but part way through our project she became uncommunicative, unprofessional and downright rude. Lisa would refuse to communicate with us directly and instead relied on our realtor to pass information along to us; in the few rare instances when she did communicate directly with me she was extremely unprofessional– at closing for our new home I was asked to fill out a comment card regarding my satisfaction with the sales consultant, I was honest and expressed my displeasure

Allen Edwin took the pressure off as a first time homeowner for me when I built my first home with them. My husband and I bought our brand new home 2 years ago, and we've had nothing but little let downs since. We thought buying a new home would be worth the extra money, but all the little fine print that the company doesn't tell you about until after your purchase adds up. After many problems after moving into our new home we have finally reached a point we may have to seek legal action. The doors in our home already have peeling paint. They have destroyed our driveway with horrible patch jobs, they vented my septic into my basement, they gave us broken trim, I have had to patch countless spots around out the home due to missing drywall. They were great to go through our build with. They have tons of options that are great for every style and their Realtors are very friendly. However they use some of the cheapest contractors who seem to cut corners when they shouldn't be. Many people have issues as soon as the warranties expire. However it is a really great personal build for the price.
