A full range of services are offered by our professional practitioners from Private/NHS eye examinations to the latest in contact lenses and designer frames. We pride ourselves on focused customer satisfaction and continued after care using the most professional practitioners and the best equipment available.
Located in the heart of Horbury with FREE/disabled parking to rear of the practice and bus stops located directly across the road. All our testing rooms are on the ground floor without any steps. The Horbury practice is our head office where most administration and laboratory services take place. We can sometimes make up your prescription while you wait or our well trained staff or technicians can carry out adjustments and repairs.
Located in the heart of Penistone, adjacent to the new market with FREE public parking and bus stops located on the High Street. We have a testing room at ground level without any steps and a further testing room located up one step. The Penistone practice has recently been modernised and has a comprehensive range of frames and contact lenses.
Auckland Opticians, Batley practice opened in 1971, and we have been proud to serve the community since then. Ossett is less than 4 miles from our Batley location and has full disabled access, FREE 90 minute parking directly outside the practice and the bus station just behind the practice. All the patient records have been transferred to Ossett practice, and we look forward to serving our loyal patients in our neighbouring practice.
Auckland Opticians are pleased to offer state of the art 3D OCT eye scans at it's Wakefield and Skelmanthorpe practices. This equipment is at the forefront of modern health care. Major medical eye conditions can be found and monitored by simply scanning and photographing the back of your eyes. There is an additional charge of 25.00 for the OCT scan, but the benefits are obvious.

I have had a very painful eye condition over Christmas and I have been treated with kindness and care beyond measure. This opticians have gone above and beyond to look after me when I am sure they would rather have been doing other things and even when they should officially have been closed. I am very grateful for their skill and clinical ability, which was fantastic but I am especially grateful for their kindness and care going the extra mile and then some when it would have been so much easier not to have. Thank you all again

I had an issue with my latest prescription that was too heavy on reading versus computer screen needs. I rang and asked for some help and quite frankly was blown away with the customer service and helpfulness I received! Used Aucklands since 2002. Before that used Specsavers who are cheaper, but you get what you pay for and with Auckland the service is very good, they're friendly, and when they've done your eye test you feel confident they will have missed nothing as they take the time needed to do it properly.
Any necessary repairs/adjustments are usually done immediately and the choice of frames etc is very good. Overall can't fault them.
