RYA First Aid

The RYA First Aid Training Course is designed to provide a working knowledge of first aid for all those who go afloat, on inland waters or up to 60 miles offshore. The syllabus is based on the recommendations of the HSE and the MCA. The MCA Code of Practice for skippers of small commercial vessels up to category 2, including boatmasters.
RYA SRC VHF Radio with GMDSS Classroom

Scotlands Mental Health First Aid

The SMHFA course takes 12 hours to complete. It can be presented in a range of formats to suit different groups. The course must be presented by a qualified SMHFA instructor and quality is continuously monitored by NHS Health Scotland. The knowledge presented, and understanding developed in the course helps to remove stigma and fear and to give confidence in approaching a person in distress.
