Where an organisation's First Aid risk assessment identifies that there is a requirement for First Aid at Work practitioners, then this National Awards course satisfies the requirements of the regulatory body for First Aid - the Health and Safety Executive (HSE). A fully comprehensive course covering a wide spectrum of medical situations from assessment to life saving treatment.
This comprehensive course helps candidates respond to and treat medical incidents in areas that cannot be reached easily by medical services. Using skills gained in this course, the candidate can respond to a wide range of medical situations and administer treatment before medical services or evacuation arrives.
Heart and circulatory disease claims around 200,000 lives each year. Many could have been saved if a defibrillator was made available. Automated External Defibrillators (AED's) are now becoming more common throughout a range of public and work places. A casualty's survival rate will dramatically increase if an AED is available and if you have appropriately qualified personnel to use it.
This regulated and nationally recognised prehospital care qualification is ideal for those seeking a career in the emergency services, ambulance service, the event and security medical sector or those who work in high risk workplaces.

Over a 5 day period, learners will gain knowledge from ex-military Parachute Regiment Medical Airborne Medic instructors, providing skills and competencies needed to deal with a range of prehospital care emergencies, such as: managing a patient's airway, catastrophic bleeding, management of fractures, medical emergencies and more.
