My name is Michael 'Mick' to many. Having served my time with a local building and decorating firm in Haddenham it was always my ambition and desire to run my own painting and decorating business. In 1979 when I was just 19 years old I braved it and took the plunge. Fast forward to present day and the business now has a team of 5 6 inc.
Kay, who are trained not only to be professionally qualified painters and decorators, but to be friendly and respectful and to take care of our clients homes. Simmonds is a family business - my wife Kay is responsible for administration, accounts and running the office, my brother Graham is a skilled carpenter, associate partner and contract supervisor, along with my son Matthew.

Not only do we offer a full decorating service we are able to undertake a full refurbishment and repair service.
We cover all types of industrial work from factories, car parks warehouses, local authority works. We are fully compliant with all health and safety issues providing client with risk assessment and method statements prior to commencement of work. We provide all our own plant and employ staff that have been trained in both PASMA and IPAF.

This company offer a friendly and reliable service. This is our second time using M Simmonds and, the work carried out was of the very high standard that we were expecting. Our decorator took great pride in his work. He treated our house with the utmost respect, and he was meticulous in the detail of the finishing touches, which was most appreciated.

Major church project of external & internal renovations and redecorations.
The quality of all the work & the overall project management was excellent. They repointed stonework, re-staining external woodwork on the church, repaired cracks in internal plaster, redecoration of the internal walls and ceiling, carried out some wood treatment internally plus some carpentry work. Mick Simmonds was very helpful, flexible, easy and enjoyable to deal with as were all the members of his team. I would strongly recommend them to anyone considering this type of project. They completed the whole project on budget
