Hello, my name is Steve Tucker and I am the owner of Finishing Touches -here is a little about me. I have been in the building trade since 1979, when at 18, I went to Willlesden Technical College in North West London, to take a City and Guilds qualification. I started work in the family business, run by my Father and Grandfather, W.T. Hamilton Ltd who were a leading decorating firm in that part of London for many years.
I was taught old school techniques, skills and values which I hold strong belief in to this day. It gave me a good education in the processes and applications of my job and also a respect for my customers and their homes. I started out on my own in 1985 and grew the company to a point where my business partner and I employed approx 4-6 men at any one time, sometimes more depending on our workload.

Finishing Touches is a local painter and decorator in Milton Keynes. Finishing Touches is run by Steve Tucker who provides high quality interior and exterior painting and decorating services as well as wallpaper hanging services throughout Buckinghamshire, including Milton Keynes, Buckingham, Bletchley, Newport Pagnell & Olney.
My residential customers benefit from the many years experience I have gathered working in Central London on a various range of projects and properties from large (one year on one particular refurbishment to Michael Winners Kensington home) to small, for example the papering of a feature wall or a difficult inaccessable ceiling.
I have now 35 years experience as a decorator, 26 of those being self employed. I have sub-contracted to Laura Ashley, Osborne & Little & Jane Churchill hanging wall coverings exclusively for them in residential properties and also hotels, shops and restaurants. Wallpaper can add a touch of class and individuality to any room.
In many instances yes I will be, with the help of the men who work with me. These are painters I employ on a regular basis and if I am not there all the time I will be constantly supervising the work. The men who work closely with me are professional and extremely responsible and conscientious.
It has literally taken me years to build a team around me of decorators I trust and feel totally confident in, not only to provide first class work, but to respect and consider your needs and expectations.I am obviously totally responsible for the job being exactly what you want, and how we get there too.

Very happy with all aspects of the work carried out, from quoting through to the finished work. Steve painted two of my children's bedrooms and arrived on time and did the work in the specified timeframe. The quality of the work was very good and he was very tidy and cleaned up after himself.

The work was done swiftly & efficiently with great attention to detail. The guys cleaned up each and every day and Steve came round regularly to make sure the work was done to a standard he was happy with. Very happy and will definitely use again when I'm ready to do more of the house. I can certainly recommend.
