We are an independent firm of specialist Property Managers and Surveyors. With over 40 years of experience in residential estate / block management, our role is to make your life easier. We take over the smooth running of your estate and will be the first port of call for everything from routine maintenance to emergency call-outs.

Services
Bartholomews was established in 1965 by Eric Bartholomew as a Property Management and Estate Agency practice. In 1974 Eric's son Graham qualified as a Chartered Surveyor and joined the firm. Graham took over the practice fully in 1996 since when the company has specialised in residential property management and surveying.
Residential Property Management and accompanying Surveying works are the core activities of our business. Years of dedication to this highly specialised field have allowed us to refine our management service to the highest possible standard. Below are examples of the typical activities that we carry out within our comprehensive management service package.
We undertake a full range of professional surveying services in connection with the estates we manage. Our Surveyors work closely with our Property Managers to ensure that works are carried according to our Clients exacting requirements. All of our Surveyors are qualified and highly experienced; we do not use trainees or unqualified staff.
As well as offering a comprehensive property management and surveying service, we also provide a number of other associated facilities. These activities are offered to new and existing Clients and are carried out in order to compliment our main business activities. Please see below for more details.
As the director for our apartments in Teddington, I've been working closely with Bartholomew's for the last 2 years and have found their personal approach to managing our building a refreshing change. I have a single point of contact for any issues and the efficiency with which building challenges are managed is second to none.

Recently we were alarmed to read an urgent message from one of our tenants. They had discovered a blocked and unpleasant smelling drain. The drain was shared with the immediate neighbour and two other apartments above. Instantly, I emailed and even phoned Bartholomews, the property management company about the issue. Sarah Webster answered my call and responded to the urgency of the situation. She sounded professional, confident and sympathetic. I was most impressed how she swiftly set up an engineer to assess and remedy the blockage for me. Within hours, I was updated and my tenant was delighted

My experience of Bartholomews as a landlord of 15 years has frankly been abysmal. l own a leasehold flat for which Batholomews manage service charge collection (not my decision) and I have been astounded by their incompetence. They do not offer the most basic services, such as setting up direct debits for service charge payments (unlike every other management company I deal with) and only last year did they start emailing me invoices rather than posting them, really helpfully, to my tenants (not to my personal address). This particular issue resulted in a backlog of invoices not reaching me, and

My experience with them is horrible. I have been specifically targeted and singled out, it is clear they care to satisfy landlords living in the properties over renters. I felt as if I'm living for free. In my situation I hope I've been targeted only because I'm renter and not because of race/culture etc..
For sure I'll not live again in any property around the area if they are management for it.
After that specific incident by weeks, I wrote them email about an issue in the whole building and I never got reply.

Utterly dreadful company. I was denied a key simply to gain access to the back of our building, to pay my key gas metre, because I was unable to find the funds for a £30 deposit for a key...
Consequently I am now without gas.

The worst property management company in London by far. I am appalled by the services they offer and as a home-owner at one of their properties I would in hindsight never have opted to buy the property if I knew how disorganised and disparate the attitude of the management is. I will certainly be recruiting counsel to ensure this company is shut down and stops scamming residents.
