Since opening it's doors in 1975, heritage studio Monnow Valley has been one of the UK's leading residential facilities, playing host to artists including Black Sabbath, Ozzy Osbourne, Sir Tom Jones, Oasis, Robert Plant, Simple Minds, Kaiser Chiefs, Stereophonics, Manic Street Preachers, and Biffy Clyro.
Monnow Valley Studio always provides an inspirational natural environment in which to produce the finest music. Set in four hundred acres of green rolling hillside, the studio is located two miles outside of the picturesque market town of Monmouth, South Wales. However, Bristol, Cardiff and Birmingham airports are just an hours drive away with Heathrow being within two hours.

Services
We are open for recording sessions using a dry hire arrangement. The minimum booking is a 6-week recording session. We can provide bespoke equipment, desks, outboard, microphones - anything you can dream of - through our partnership with Tickle. Monnow Valley Studio's breathtaking 1200 sq ft live room has variable acoustics and can be partitioned by the 16ft high trademark cartwheel doors.
Our kitchen has doubled in size to a massive 1000sq.ft. It comprises high quality German Nobilia units, twin Neff ovens, induction hob, two dishwashers, Quooker tap, American size fridge freezer, coffee machine, and wine fridge. The kitchen also has it's own dining table, seating area, and breakfast bar.

The studio is nestled in some of the most beautiful countryside in the world.The studio rooms and equipment are world class and the skill and friendliness of everybody there makes you feel that they really want you to get the best out of your recording projects. Considering their starry customer base it's so good to see that every customer is treated with the same courtesy. The place has a bit of magic about it.
