Armed Forces Fitness Harrogate
Our unique outdoor exercise classes take place in Harrogate (On The Stray) and at Wetherby (Raby Park). Whatever the weather we operate 52 weeks of the year and are exclusively staffed by qualified serving, or former serving Armed Forces Fitness physical training instructors. Our instructors have a wealth of knowledge in a wide variety of personal training techniques and disciplines.

You don't have to be super fit to join in as at Armed Forces Fitness we have a variety of groups to cater for all levels of personal fitness. You'll soon start to see results and we promise that you will find yourself eagerly awaiting the next session!
Services
On Beech Grove - 100m directly opposite the entrance from Cotswold Outdoor Shop across West Park Stray. For all Harrogate session enquiries please contact info@armedforcesfitness.com or 07817 572 251. The meeting point is the metal kissing gate at the corner of Raby Park, opposite Wetherby Cinema on Crossley Street.
Armed Forces Fitness is a great way to deliver group circuit sessions in a safe, enjoyable, qualified environment. Currently less than 2% of the UK population exercise on a regular basis and the Armed Forces Fitness instructors feel strongly about reversing that trend to help motivate individuals into exercise and change perceptions that to do so you need to join a traditional gym.
All classes last for an hour. They begin with a collective warm up, before the group then splits into smaller sections sorted by ability level. We cater for all standards of fitness from the beginner to the super fit! Each session will give you a thorough, full body workout - including jogging and circuits, sprint work and partner exercises - all with plenty of encouragement in a fun atmosphere.
Armed Forces Fitness Core Strength and Conditioning Instructor and Lead Instructor of the AFF Kids Club, Andy Gardner, is a former Biology teacher turned Personal Trainer with Harrogate Fitness Formula. Andy is a very experienced endurance cyclist, triathlete and distance runner. He is highly motivational, enthusiastic and passionate about all aspects of fitness and improving your health and well being.
Not sure which Military Fitness Group to join in Harrogate or Wetherby? Look no further than Armed Forces Fitness; the most popular outdoor fitness sessions in North Yorkshire!. Superb fitness sessions especially if you lack motivation as I sometimes do. Andy makes each session different, motivational and fun, and I'm amazed just how much better I look and feel. Would highly recommend to anyone who wants to get fit but can't be bothered to do anything about it, Andy will motivate you and get you back into positive ways quickly.

You might hate it but the chances are you'll love it and since the first session is free what have you got to lose?!! What you are guaranteed is a warm welcome from all our instructors and our members and a varied and fun hour of exercise. The first session is tough; that is certain but if you want to make progress towards your goals these sessions certainly make that achievable!

This is the best form of exercise I've found. I've been a member of a gym in the past but found I've got so much more out of AFF. My fitness has improved enormously and I'm now a lot leaner.
To my mind the key parts are:
- each session is led by an army qualified instructor. This means I get an excellent workout, a mixture of resistance (press ups, sits ups, squats, etc) as well as CV (short runs)
- the instructor motivates you and guides you to ensure you perform the exercises correctly
- no two sessions are the same - there's always something new
- there are groups relevant to individual

Really great bunch! Everyone's really friendly and they cater to everyone from the beginner red team right through to the crazy die-hards in the greens! Much more fun than the gym and definitely much more satisfying! Highly recommend
