At Bassi Solicitors we understand how confusing Home Office visa regulations can be so from the outset we offer all clients in-depth one-to-one consultations with a Senior Solicitor. The right to permanent residence, or settlement in the UK is know as indefinite leave to remain (ILR) and means that you are free to reside in the UK without time restrictions. The eligibility requirements for applying for ILR are quite complex and vary depending upon the visa which you have.

We will advise you on when you will be eligible to apply for ILR, the processing times depending upon which visa you have and the Home Office fees for doing so.We will also advise you as to whether you meet the other eligibility requirements such as the English language and good character requirements.
If you remain in the UK after your leave has expired and have not submitted an in-time application to the Home-Office to seek additional leave then you will be in breach of the immigration rules and known as an 'overstayer'.

However, if you do now wish to regulate your stay, you may be able to make a discretionary leave to remain application to do so which will depend upon a number of factors such as the length of residence, if you have any children, or if you are now in a relationship or your child has completed 7 years in the United Kingdom, or if you have completed 2 years as an overstayer etc.
Although some Commonwealth and non-visa nationals coming to the UK for tourism purposes are granted up to 6 months entry clearance upon arrival, all other visas require an application for entry to be made in the applicant's home country. If you are looking to work or study in the UK, you will need to make an application under the Points-Based System.

If I could I would not even give them 1 star. They are so unprofessional, the director himself is rude. They witness documents without meeting client which is very dodgy. Only money making, highly unprofessional, would not recommended! Stay away!

Called Bassin regarding certification of documents asked if we were required to book in and they said no, when we arrived they said they were too busy and asked us to come back in half an hour talking in to consideration we went after work and it was already close to closing time. The staff were incredibly rude and we were spoken to through a hatch the place offs locked up like fort knox and seems very hostile upon entry.
We returned and were told that the prices quoted to us on the phone was wrong and that it would in fact be £10 more than what we were quoted. They didn’t give us all of the

They WILL drag out your immigration case for years and milk as much money as they can from you while making sure they give you the most incompetent solicitor they can find you on their staff so you lose and have to repeat the application process. The asian female solicitor they gave us was unprepared and quite frankly was embarrassing in court. The judge scolded her. They had our files for nearly 3 years and nothing came of it. Went elsewhere and got leave to remain and compensation from the Home Office within 9 months. Amateurish money grabbers.

Highly recommended. My husband and I had left everything in their hands. They dealt with everything. They told us clearly from day one what to expect and how to deal with matters if needed to. They have been honest all the way and not hid any information from us.
We are really pleased with the service and have recommended them to friends and families.
Mr Murria and his staff dealt with our case efficiently and quickly.
We did not have to worry or stress about anything as we knew we were in good hands.
We have used other services but
this service have achieved beyond our expectations and will
