We're an independent speciality coffee business established in 2015 by husband and wife team Rob & Lottie, from a basement just off the high street in Scarborough, North Yorkshire. We outgrew that lovely little shop, and were based for two years at Woodend, a beautiful Italianate Villa in Scarborough's historical Crescent area.

Now, thanks to a global pandemic & the shift in lifestyle that brought, we took the plunge and went all in building our little mobile coffee truck, so we can take the same great drinks on the road in our Bedford Rascal to a wider area.

Always a pleasure to stop off during a walk around Scarborough’s south cliff for a Yay Coffee. A quick Latte or a delicious Cappuccino overlooking the South Bay sets me up for the day. Try it, you’ll like it.

Lovely coffee after a walk along the Esplanade. Great service too. Obviously popular with quite a few people stopping to grab a hit drink. Had coffee from there a couple of times now with friends. We'll worth it.

Walked there, asked the lad serving where the cafe was, he said I was 3 years out of date, in a smug tone. No, their website was 3 years out of date! It's just a little van. Advertising wrong information is inconsiderate to customers who make the effort to walk there.

Excellent choice of drinks, good value. Cream soda tasted like proper cream soda should! Great service, nice people. Definitely recommended if you want to support independent coffee providers.

Absolutely divine coffee the extra shot is a must if you like strong coffee it hits the taste buds like no other coffee it wouldn’t be a dog walk if we didn’t stop for the usual on our way to the beach if only yay coffee grew in the gardens

The establishment may be small, but I believe it only adds to the cosy aesthetic. This is honestly one of the most beautiful and welcoming coffee shops that I have ever been to. The coffees and other various hot beverages are absolutely stunning (I'm quite fond of the white hot chocolate!). If you are quite a tall person, like myself, you may struggle to find space for seating. Luckily enough, you can order for the drink to go! But if you do find a space, just sit down and relax, I think you'd struggle not to!
The only negative I could possibly give is that you can become addicted to their beautiful

Excellent cafe!
Everything here is just fantastic.
The drinks (we had coffee and hot chocolate) are delicious and the food (I had a peanut butter and jam bagel) is no different.
Everything was made using fresh, high-quality ingredients.
The cafe itself is equal parts quirky and cozy. The staff cant do enough to accomodate you, including giving customers fresh water while they wait for their drinks. Even the music was good.
I can't imagine going to Scarborough without popping in here.
