Hi I my name is Corinne nice to meet you - I am an artist, designer, mum of two - founder of Powder Butterfly; a design studio that creates a range of British contemporary homeware gifts. I was born in London but moved to the North East 21 years ago. After studying photography at Northumbria University and then at Sunderland University, I knew I wanted to use my creative skills in a distinct way.
As part of the Durham collection we have created products that celebrate this beautiful city which you will find in the North East of England. The Cathedral & the adjacent castle were designated a work heritage site in 1986. Durham castle has been the home of Durham University since 1882. Durham has many sites of historical interest, it is a wonderful shopping centre and there is some wonderful surrounding countryside.
The Giving Back collection is something that we have been working on behind the scenes for quite a while now. We have been looking for the perfect charity partners that we could donate a percentage of our profits to. Our founder Corinne has worked within the arts for many years, and she has always enjoyed the outreach, community based work that she has been involved in.
Our London Landmark collection is jam-packed with contemporary homeware gifts and are emblazoned with our treasured designs. We LOVE London and have created an exciting range of gift designs featuring the following London landmarks: Big Ben, The Shard, The Gherkin, The London Eye, St Paul's Cathedral, iconic London lamp posts and the famous Lions of Trafalgar Square.
Northern pride and British manufacturing have been combined to create our beautiful Newcastle collection. Carefully crafted to showcase some of the most loved and visited landmarks in the area, our fresh and modern Newcastle landmark gift collection features The Tyne Bridge, The Angel of The North, Sage Gateshead, Baltic Flour Mill and the Millennium Bridge.
