A small but very busy Feed Mill. Helpful staff. Could do with a bit of updating.

My partner visits most Sundays and is so impressed by all the staff who go out of their way to help especially in these challenging times. A special mention to the young lad who works there he is so polite and always has a smile on his face and nothing is too much trouble for him. He is a pleasure to do business with and a credit to your company.

Had to get dog food this morning in the mist of these trying times 25th March. Was very impressed with my experience. Was asked to ring my order in then pay for it by card. Opened the back of the car and my dog food was loaded in shut the back myself and away I went. Excellent well done Thompson's

We buy straw, hay & wood shavings from here in bales as it is a lot cheaper and more cost efficient than buying it from pet shops in small bags that cost up to £4.99 each. I would happily go here and pay for a bale that cost about £8.00 for hay and straw each & £8.29 for a bale of wood shavings.

Great local shop to get your pet needs from. Good for balls of hat and straw and even wood shavings which saves money in the Long run

Great place for all your pet food needs, does do some accessories as well but mainly food, large equestrian section including food, blankets, grooming even mucking out. If you have more unusual pets: chickens, ducks, pigeons, goats, pigs etc. This is the best place to go i have found in York as they have specific food and much of it is there own brand so competitively priced and always in stock. Also has bales of hay/ straw - far better value than buying little bags of it. Staff seem friendly and I'm sure would know the answer if you had questions about the product.
Only criticism is some items

Really helpful staff. Nothing is too much trouble. Excellent advice given. A third cheaper than Pets at Home and superior products with knowledgeable staff.

You are felt at ease with staff they have great knowledge on there product. They are very helpful. Give good advice on most pets.
Please note take extra cash as you will find more than you need a shop full of great ideas. Have fun looking around can take at least 1 hour to look around.
