Stannah Lift Services
Browse our products and contact us for a free fixed quote today, or, design and buy your stairlift online. Our domestic stairlifts attach to the tread of your stairs and not the wall. This makes for a clean and easy installation, and means that there is no need to alter or damage your walls. In addition, the installation of your Stannah stairlift can be completed in only a few hours and isn't as disruptive as you might expect.

Our engineers take great care to ensure that they leave your home in the same condition as when they arrived and are experienced in working quickly to minimise disruption and inconvenience. Stannah homelifts are powered by hydraulic drives, which use fluid to fill a cylinder and allow the lift to move up and down.
Services
Joseph Stannah started the business in Bankside, London, making cranes and hoists to move goods around the bustling docks of the industrial revolution. Still a family business, it is the fifth generation - Jon, Patrick, Nick, Alastair and Helen - that now steer the company and continue to build a firm fit to meet today's challenges yet unashamedly focused on the values of quality and service that Joseph articulated all those years ago.
The Stannah family have been making lifts of all types for over 150 years. In 1975 we added designing and manufacturing stairlifts in to our mix and now we sell them in more than 40 countries worldwide. We are so proud of our history and family values that we have developed the Stannah Promise as an assurance to you that we will do everything we can to live up to the family name.
Trusted Traders, run by the independent consumer champion Which?, is an endorsement scheme designed to help consumers find local endorsed traders they can rely on. Under the Which? Trusted Traders scheme, Trading Standards trained officers conduct face-to-face assessments, including business credit reports, business process procedures, customer service and complaint handling procedures and seek feedback from past customers.
Stannah is so proud to have been able to count Captain Sir Tom as a customer. Having a stairlift meant that Tom was able to remain independent in his home and save his energy for things other than climbing the stairs, like walking 100 laps of his garden!

The ethos that the foundation instils and the causes it supports align fully with Stannah's ethos of 'keep on being you' and we are honoured to be considered a friend of the foundation and supporter of their recent fundraising initiative Captain Tom 100.For more information on how Stannah have supported the initiative, please visit our Captain Tom Foundation page.
All our new stairlifts come with a 2 year warranty and include 2 free annual services; our reconditioned stairlifts come with 1 year warranty and 1 free service. Each homelift comes with a 2 year warranty and includes 2 free service visits. Call outs due to product break downs (please note call outs due to misuse, accidental damage or other circumstances beyond our control will be charged - see T&Cs for more information).

Yard staff on goods out are rude confrontational
Absolutely no need for this if they are that unhappy in their job they feel the need to take it out on the drivers maybe they need to change jobs

Every time I get on my stairlift I thank the people at Stannah, my chair is simply wonderful! The team that came to put the lift in were polite, knowledgable, worked cleanly and tidily and were very pleasant to have in my house. There are not many firms that give you the service with such good grace and consideration.

A few days ago I had an engineer in to fix a fault, whilst not my usual polite, helpful and professional engineer it was another one who was exactly the same. Well done Stannah for the engineers you employ, a credit to you.
HOWEVER, customer service (if that is what you laughingly call them) are a joke (though not funny) and do you no credit at all. I had to contact them, calling first on 14/3/18 to report a fault and was told I would get a call back later or the next day. I had to call again on 22/3/18 as I had received NO return call, only to be told that I had called them out on 28/2/18 (I
