Having been interested in massage since early adulthood, I was inspired to learn the skill after receiving my first facial massage (which, as luck would have it, I had won in a raffle). It felt such a beautiful, relaxing experience that I wanted to be able to offer the same gift to others. Since qualifying in holistic massage, I have also trained in reflexology, which I find one of the most relaxing treatments.

Over the past few years I have learnt various massage techniques that I can use as appropriate in a treatment to tailor it to your needs. Countering stress can have so many knock on benefits to health, which is why my main interest is in helping you to relax and feel good during and after a treatment.
Along with being a joyful experience, pregnancy can be tiring and uncomfortable. Massage can help you to optimise your health and wellbeing, and consequently that of your baby. Pregnancy massage is designed to be relaxing and to promote lymphatic drainage, so gentle, stroking (effleurage) techniques are used mainly.
People with severe respiratory conditions including cystic fibrosis, severe asthma and severe chronic obstructive pulmonary (COPD). People with rare diseases and inborn errors of metabolism that significantly increase the risk of infections (such as Severe combined immunodeficiency (SCID), homozygous sickle cell).
I've found them enormously useful during a stressful year, helping me to focus on quietness and different parts of my body. However I feel before the class, I always feel calmer and more relaxed and positive afterwards and also, although the exercises are so gentle, my body definitely benefits physically from the sessions.

As a keen sportswoman and soft tissue & movement therapist myself I know just how important it is to look after ourselves (and it possibly makes me a little picky in who I choose to be treated by 😏). I booked in with Wendy for a relaxing massage - just what I needed at that time. Wendy was super responsive to my needs leaving me to zone out or chat when appropriate, ensuring I was comfortable throughout and modifying the treatment when needed. From arrival to leaving I felt well cared for and would highly recommend a visit.
