We love it here! The staff are fab, its small enough that I can sit and watch my little one play wherever she is (I'm 7 months pregnant) and the food is delicious! You can only pay by card though and its always busy so may need to book in advance or perch on the edges and nab a table as soon as one becomes available.

Attended a birthday party, kids had a great time, food looks good and the place was clean. We have been to a few parties here and the children always love it and want to come back repeatedly. Just got in from work and 'L' said 'E' had raved about what a good day he had - 'E' very rarely raves about anything so that's high praise indeed!
Services
Run by mums for mums, we understand the need for the highest levels of hygiene, flexible menus and the finest Italian espresso beans! You'll have to drag your children away at the end of their session at The Hen House and who can blame them for dragging their heels? Soft play + new friends + delicious lunch = happy child!
It was difficult to get the right balance between having enough toys out to keep children entertained and to give you value for money, but not too many that we couldn't disinfect them in between. I write this post at a very uncertain time. It's not March, April, May, June or July, although they have also been difficult months, but August.
Juggling work and raising little ones is a constant challenge, one we know all too well! We've partnered with local primary schools to bring you and your family reliable and fun before and after school care. We also run brilliant big kid camps for 4-9 year olds during most half terms and school holidays.
Come and visit us anytime between 9am and 5pm Monday-Sunday. Welcome to The Hen House family! Please call ahead if visiting on the weekend or after 3pm as we may be closed for an exclusive use party. From breakfast clubs to holiday camps we run a wide range of regular activities for your little ones.

I booked a morning play session this week for my 1 year old son. The atmosphere at the Hen House was very quiet, sterile and the staff were unfriendly. There isn't a huge selection of toys/ soft play items and I feel that 60 minutes of play for £6.95 is very expensive in comparison to other soft plays we have attended. When it was time to go one particular member of staff stood by the door and constantly checked her watch and it made us all feel like we were a hindrance as opposed to valued customers. My Sister needed to breastfeed her 4 month old baby but, due to the frosty atmosphere, felt that

It's was a nice 90 minutes but lacking baby selection.. No balls or baby toys in the baby pen. Nice and clean. Unfortunately the sensory light space was used as a storage room and lacked toys again. My 9 1/2 month old did enjoy but needs a bit more atmosphere. Coffee good though!

Good place for toddlers and younger children. Probably not enough to keep older kids going. Coffee and food reasonable. Friendly staff. Gets very busy so booking advised if you want a seat.

A wonderfully fun, indoor soft play centre for smaller children with a cafe. It is a small place, but has 4 distinct play areas: a mirrored disco room with light up floor, the main, small soft play area which has 2 slides, a tiny tot area which is separated by a padded wall and an area with little houses, with kitchens, and a walkway that lights up when stepped on, with a variety of ride on toys as well.
We have been to a few parties here, and the children always love it and want to come back repeatedly.
The only downside is that, despite being clean generally, we don't tend to eat here because

Great little soft play for young children (4 and under). Son had a great time and was enjoying himself 3 hours later!
Only criticism - the toilets. There was no way to dry your hands which is annoying when they also serve food. Having my son dry his hands on my t-shirt is not really ideal.
