Before you book an appointment to see a doctor please consider whether an appointment with a practice nurse might be appropriate. They can help you with a wide range of medical problems. If you have a cough, cold, headache or other minor ailment try treating yourself at home first. Find out more about treatments for common minor ailments.
Our surgery offers a number of pre-bookable appointments, which can be booked up to two weeks in advance. All other appointments are allocated on the day. Patients wishing to be seen should telephone the surgery at 8.30am when they will be offered an appointment time for later that day. Patients may also book appointments via the internet.
In October every year we ask all patients over the age of 65, or patients with a history of chronic illness, to have a flu vaccination. If you are over 60 or are 'at risk' you are also elligible to have a pneumonia vaccination. If you are unsure please ask at Reception. Minor Surgery (under local anaesthetic) is carried out on a Thursday afternoon, by appointment.
If you are on long term medication you will be given a computerised prescription re-order slip. This allows you to re-order medication without seeing the Doctor every time. We regret that requests for repeat prescriptions will not be accepted over the telephone. After twelve repeats (or as otherwise decided by your Doctor) you will be required to see your Doctor for review to ensure all is well before further prescriptions are issued.

Sometimes the Doctors at this surgery listen to your problems, but at most they don't take you seriously at all. They make you feel small and unintelligent. 'Had to deal with Transphobia, inappropriate questions and dismissal multiple times.
I should hope nobody else will ever have to hear 'well, what do you want me to do about it?' when experiencing a mental health crisis.

I v always thought this a good surgery lovely staff but since after lock down iv been trying to get appointment when I do get through they say ring at 8 30 I tried the last few months now and the phone is always engaged ,plus we used to be td when new dr arrived or one of dr left we dont get that now so I'm a bit disappointed understand they get busy but some one could pick up the phone
