We have our own range of locally manufactured products; all our other products are sourced from top European manufacturers, allowing us to maintain the high quality of products. The Strand Hardware Window and Door range includes Strand's own range of products designed and manufactured in the United Kingdom.
Our range of finger protection devices are made by Athmer in Germany, we are the sole distributor for UK and Ireland and have sold the range since the mid 1990s. The range is tried and tested and is the market leader when it comes to finger protectors, known for quality and reliability the devices are tested to BS8613 and EN16654 and comply with EN16005, they have also been awarded the German Safety Mark.
Designed to be fitted in conjunction with our roller system finger protectors they prevent finger trapping on the hinge pin side of the door (where the small gap is when the door is open - see drawing). Suitable for standard 13mm diameter hinges, different diameters are available - please enquire.
