We are a beautiful, friendly and family-run hotel on Sidmouth seafront. Set in a historic regency house, we offer comfortable and stylish accommodation with stunning views of Lyme Bay. The Bedford Hotel has a fascinating history and we pride ourselves on offering modern day comfort while preserving the hotel's historical significance. The Bedford (as it is known now), was in fact one of the first Regency houses to be built on the seafront in Sidmouth. It was originally Wallis's Marine Library and Reading Rooms.

I booked a room with a premium sea view to be allocated a view of a car park for £180.00
Objected and Debbie did her best to re allocate a room with a sea view saying that all premium rooms were booked and cost £195.00. This price was not on the website when I booked.
Debbie was great and hugely apologetic that we had been misled. Our new room was clearly only for one person due to one pillow and towel etc.
Where Debbie was great and thank you to her, she personally attended to extra pillows, towels etc.
We are hoping we don’t have to pay £180.00 for a sub standard room without bedside

A very clean and fairly modern hotel which does that extra effort to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable.
This hotel is very clean, they do pay attention to detail and hygiene, one of the cleanest hotels I have ever been!
If you are a clean freak you will be happy in this hotel.
They also love dogs and my 2 girls (Border Collie & German Shepherd) have been very welcome even in the breakfast room in the morning so we could all have breakfast together.
All the staff of the hotel has been very kind and accommodating during our stay. We are vegan and they did their best to provide us with
