Lumiere is a 3AA Rosette Award winning dining experience in the heart of the Cotswolds offering contemporary menus which are unique in using the very best in British, seasonal produce and drawing inspiration from the wonderful produce that is available.

Somerset born Chef Jon Howe and his wife and Restaurant Manager Helen opened Lumiere Restaurant in 2009, located just steps from Cheltenham's famous tree lined Promenade, as the restaurant which they would love to go to.The irony that Lumiere is now the one restaurant that they will never be able to eat in is not lost on them, for as long as the restaurant is open they will be working.

A lovely meal to celebrate the wife's birthday.
Did the 6 courses option and each course was beautifully presented and a delight to eat.
Restaurant itself was tastefully decorated and with both front of house staff attentive and helpful made the meal a great experience.
Will be back for the 8 course option!!

Simply delectable - a sure pit-stop for any bonvivant. I cannot praise nor recommend the vegetarian taster at Lumiere enough - exquisite flavours, faultless service and majestic wine to accompany. Hats off Lumiere - we shall see you again very very shortly indeed.

Definitely in my top 3 meals of all time! Exquisitely prepared and presented taster menu was a gastronomic delight..see pics!! Beautiful restaurant and such cheerful and knowledgeable service by Helen and Matthew. And extensive, varied wine list, particularly for the desserts. Where is their Michelin star, or 2 ??!!
A brilliant experience. Oh, and I want one of those decanters °

Chef must have been busy during lockdown. The bar has been raised from already lofty standards. It is surely not a question of when but how many stars are awarded (I'm not talking about Google reviews, just so that's clear).

We had the wonderful tasting menu. We felt very well looked after and Matthew and Helen were both such a delight and gave us a wonderful insight to the food and its various sources.
I had quite particular dietary requirements and they made me feel so involved and catered to my needs in the best way.
I have no hesitation recommending Lumiere and when we are in town again I’ll make a point of visiting once more!

Exceptional we had the nine course taster menu and were not disappointed, our dietary needs and preferences were checked before perfect attentive service and beautifully prepared amazing food was served each course explained to us individually (we were one veggie one meat eater) Great meal for a special occasion.
