SCP was founded over 20 years ago to manufacture classic car parts that were becoming difficult to obtain from OEM sources. As the classic car industry grew, SCP's range expanded to include alloy wheels, the Revolution brand, valve covers, gears and many other associated products. In 1997 SCP acquired its own manufacturing facility with the purchase of the Armstrong lever arm shock absorber plant for OEM Taxi, Metrocab and classic car production.
Two years later the Monroe suspension link production line was added together with a manufacturing facility capable of producing a wide range of suspension components and general turned parts. SCP will soon be consolidating all of its manufacturing facilities to a new 17,000 sq ft site in Tamworth, Midlands, where it operates to the ISO9002 quality standard.
