We hope you find everything you need to know to build a clear picture of what it's like, and how it feels to live here. Iden Manor is a very special part of a family-owned and run business, with the unswerving dedication of family members who are actively involved in providing the very best care for the elderly, frail and vulnerable.

This lovely home was established in 2003. From the very beginning it has been run with a focus on quality in all things, and we ensure that focus is maintained through developing a high degree of quality awareness in all of the people who work here. We achieve this through providing assured, sensitive leadership and management, and well-structured on-going training for everyone.
Services
Needs may be medical/therapeutic (for physical and mental welfare), cultural, psychological, spiritual, emotional and/or social but the level of care provided is always to the highest standard possible and willingly given. Iden Manor is a family business; owned and run by two generations of people who passionately believe that Care should underpin every element of the support they give to residents.
If you've not had to find a care home before - or if you are currently in a home but are unhappy with it - it can be hard to know where to start. The choice can seem overwhelming, it can be difficult to tell the good from the bad and bewildering to know what questions to ask to get the information to make the right decision for you.
Imagine the quintessential Victorian mansion with its magnificent turrets, gables, doorways, and vast windows looking out onto beautiful grounds that provide a haven for wildlife. Imagine well-tended gardens, quiet seclusion, places to walk, places to sit, views that sustain and space to breathe. Imagine magnificent and spacious reception rooms - one with wood panelled walls, an open fire in winter and comfy chairs whatever the time of year.
In addition to the permanent residential care we provide here at Iden Manor, we also recognise the value of day and respite care, not just for those people who come to stay with us, but for their families too. There are many reasons why people consider these options.

Some need a period of support as they recuperate from an illness or accident; some need increasingly regular help - and the company of others - whilst they still maintain their independent life. And for those who are already dependent on daily support at home, it can be to enable an existing carer, be that a life partner or other family member, to have a short break themselves.
Finding a care home for those later years when you need increasing support can be an emotional experience - certainly for you, and, depending on circumstances, for your family too. No two care homes are the same - and whilst all registered homes adhere to prescribed standards and conform to stated regulations, that still leaves plenty of opportunity for variety around 'what it provides, what it is like, and how it feels to live here'.

My partner's mum lived at Iden for about two months before sadly passing away. The staff were sensitive to her circumstances and provided an excellent level of care which helped to ensure that her final days were dignified and peaceful. I would have no qualms about recommending Iden to families dealing with the difficult task of finding a care home for their loved one.
