Severn Sailing Club
The Club has been an RYA Training Centre since 1973, and training is a core activity of the Club. During June, July and August, Saturday Morning Club sessions are held. These sessions provide an opportunity to meet other members and improve technique and skills. The safety boat is on the water, and more experienced members are on hand to provide guidance if needed.

We have a very friendly membership with lots of barbeques and social events throughout the season. There are a wide range of social events and live music to suit all tastes. In summary, the Club has a long tradition of providing facilities for the whole family. This makes for a very comfortable and relaxed atmosphere.
Services
Location: Severn Sailing Club is situated in four acres of its own secluded grounds, on the river Avon, near Bredon's Norton on the Gloucestershire/Worcestershire border. The club mainly sails on the 7 miles of beautiful river from Tewkesbury to the south and Strensham Lock to the north, although intrepid sailors venture further.
Severn Sailing Club was formed in 1936, and originally sailed at Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire, on the River Severn. The club was laid up on the outbreak of World War II in 1939, and remained dormant for many years. During the '50s, Smiths Industries (Now GE Aviation) a large local employer, had a large sports and social club for its employees, and the sailing section of this club sailed at Bredon on the River Avon.
From the motorway junction follow the signs for Evesham. Turn left towards the village of Bredon at the Queen's Head pub at Aston Cross (approx 2 miles). This junction is just at the end of the large Army vehicle depot. Access to the club is down a dead-end track immediately opposite this junction.
