The Centre for Emotional Development was founded by Leslie Ironside (D.Psych; Psych MACP) to develop a focus of expertise and to promote emotional health and wellbeing in children, adolescents, families and organisations. Dr Ironside is a Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist with over 25 years experience working with children and families in both the NHS and private practice.
He has formed a network of highly qualified and experienced Associates to expand the Centre's professional range and effectiveness. Educational: To provide resources for Continuing Professional Development through training, lectures, short courses and conferences. The Centre aims to attract participants from a range of disciplines including education, health and social services and independent practitioners.

Services
All CfED Associates are independent practitioners registered with national registering organisations, for example, the British Psychoanalytic Council, the UK Council for Psychotherapy, the British Council for Counselling and Psychotherapy. CfED offers a range of services to help those experiencing emotional distress or problems in functioning effectively in work or organisational settings.
Brighton Consulting Rooms recently modernised building offers a vibrant and professional working environment for therapists and consultants working in private practice. Consulting and training rooms, waiting areas and facilities have been designed to a high standard, facilitating privacy for clients and comfortable, flexible spaces for practitioners.
