I never write reviews but had to after lunch on Christmas Eve. We dined with our children and the service and food was flawless. Great kids menu, I had a crispy chicken and bacon ciabatta which was delicious. Had a chat with the chef prior to ordering as kids were so excited at the menu. Best place for lunch in Romsey.

Breakfast was okay but lost marks for a few reasons
We were first in, 3 sets of diners behind us, all got served before we did. Suspect some were locals and so got priority.
Eggs were barely runny, not good for poached aggs.
Service was slow.
Kitchen ordering and management needs work as the food and service could have been better

Ok food and good server/service even during busy times. The People who work here mean well and are trying hard to keep everyone attended to.
What's really disappointing that they just don't understand what 'vegan' means. When I asked if they had anything vegan, the waiteress was explaining what had gluten is really not relevant. Then went on to confirm 2 dishes were vegan, which we ordered. However one of them was served with eggs. When I explained to waitress - she fobbed me off by saying 'ok yeah' with very little understanding of how distressing it is for someone vegan to receive animal products

Everything is worth trying if you are just popping in for a coffee, (which is excellent coffee) (try adding hazelnut it is delicious) to more extensive meals, I've just had a fabulous bacon sandwich (the… perfect way to spend a Sunday morning). However there is also the shop which sells all those unusual items which you did not realise you needed until you see them, they make up amazing hampers and sell a wonderful range of cheeses.

Excellent little cafe in sleepy little Romsey, perfect stop for a bit of lunch. We enjoyed our meals, pleased with the generous portions. It is a quaint little cafe, friendly and welcoming with a nice decor. Staff were friendly and polite, order and food was quick and we stopped to check out the chutneys and cheeses on our way out.
Worth popping in for lunch if you are in town.
