We are a 3rd generation, family run business. This means that we take our reputation very seriously, and have customers who are using our services after being recommended by their grandparents who had our fireplaces fitted in the 70's! Now that makes us proud! All of our stoves are ECO Design Ready, which means they surpass the very stringent new regulations coming into force in 2022.

Starting out with the help of his father William, Ian started The Fireplace Centre in 1977 after a prosperous career as a stone mason. He quite literally built the foundations to what The Fireplace Centre has become today. Handmaking stone fireplaces for clients all over the Home Counties, his reputation grew along with the business and he begun to import stone from all over Europe to offer people something that no one else could offer.
We strongly believe that wood burning stoves should not only be an extremely energy efficient source of heating, but the main focal point to any room. When the inevitable British weather creeps in, nothing beats igniting your wood burner and cosying up on the sofa. Choosing the right product for each individual customer is of the most important parts of what we do, we want to ensure you have the most suitable stove for years to come.
Gas fires have undergone a remarkable transformation over recent years, thanks to a new wave of innovative designers and dramatic advances in thermal engineering. With efficiency ratings reaching up to 100% and features such as app control they really are something to behold. Single fronted, double sided or even four sided fires are all part of what we do.

I totally recommend these guys, we had a log burner and fireplace installed in a new build, they were brilliant from start to finish. They worked very hard to accommodate my timescale, the price was good and I could not fault their work (I am very fussy too!).
I am absolutely thrilled with the result, they deserve to be busy as they take great pride in their work which is so lovely to see.

We recently bought a Chesney log burner and a Chesney gas fire from Maidenhead Fireplace. We visited the showroom and had an excellent demonstration of the fires, and received some really good advice. After a home visit, the installation was well planned, quick and efficient. The whole team were extremely helpful and polite, and I would have no hesitation in recommending them. The fires looks great!

We went into the showroom in Maidenhead and were immediately welcomed and given excellent advice enabling us to choose the correct fire place for our living room. The survey was completed quickly within 5 days and our order placed. We were offered an installation date within 6 weeks (during covid so we were delighted with the timings). Installation day arrived and the fitters were on time, extremely clean, quick and tidy. The whole experience was easy, everyone I dealt with were warm, friendly, extremely knowledgeable. We are delighted with our fireplace - it’s everything we wanted, installed
