Existing control panels and circuits modified and retrofitted to incorporate new safety interlocks. Approved safety interlocks fitted and integrated into existing or retrofitted Safety Relay and Circuit. Range of mechanical interlocks, zero speed detection, light guards, can be provided. Guards Specialists in the design and manufacture of bespoke guards and guard systems for individual machinery and production lines.
The project involved retrofitting servo-controlled drive systems for both feed of the carriage table and grinding head. The existing bed and carriage was machined for machine tool skates and rails, with a rack and pinion drive. Spindle adjustment mechanism was re-designed to incorporate adjustment by electronic handwheel and automatic feed.
