Nicholson & Coulthard was established back in 1970, starting as a small jewellery repair and engraving workshop, today we are now located at 41 Lowther Street, Carlisle. Our contemporary, modern store offers the customer the chance to view some of the finest pieces of jewellery available with a stunning range of diamond jewellery and a wonderful collection of wedding rings along with individual pieces hand selected by our team.

Nicholson & Coulthard Ltd. provide a service allowing you to hand select diamonds from our range in stock. These diamonds are certified and come with a certificate of authenticity detailing their quality and specifications. Our diamonds are sourced from worldwide suppliers. Imported from diamond merchants based in Antwerp and Israel, we also receive superb stones from London.

Here at Nicholson & Coulthard we have always had a love for beautiful coloured gems. Many jewellers have long forgotten the brilliance of a coloured gem stone. Our coloured gem stone jewellery is all handpicked, with many pieces made in out workshops.

Fabulous, Friendly, Family est 😊
I Highly recommend for any jewellery, trophy or plaque essentials such as cleaning repairing adjusting or even a simple evaluation. I surprise my husband by getting his chain fixed That was 25 years old we didn’t think of getting evaluated but we are very very happy that we did.

I just wanted to say how great the service was here.
I have a very sentimental watch with a bracelet that had become so loose i was concerned to wear it just in case i lost it. I did not want to send it off in the post to a "high end manufacturer in London" at all so I did a google search locally to find a jewellers that had a 'real' jeweller on the premises who could see it and advise if it was possible to repair it.
I called the shop, explained my issue and was advised by a lovely Lady called Becky who reassured me that they did indeed have a jeweller on the premises who would be more than

Saw the lovely people from Nicholson & Coulthard at a wedding fayre, my partner and I picked out some rings that we liked, called in their shop a week or so later to view the rings again. They have a huge range of beautiful wedding rings, we were served by the same person we met at the wedding fayre, we looked at some other styles, but stayed with our original choice. A great experience from an reputable family jewellers.

Called in to Nicholson & Coulthard to enquire about making an engagement ring, I had a look at their website before visiting and they seemed to be very professional and knowledgeable.
Spoke with Martin in store and he helped me design the PERFECT ring, giving me advice and guidance along the way, the finished ring looks fabulous, completed on time and came in under budget too, super service !
