Anchor Moorings are located on the river Bure just before the popular public mooring at Coltishall Common. The private owner riverside and dyke moorings offer well maintained quay headings, meadowland with picnic tables and benches, as well as convenient water and electric points. All of the nearby amenities of Coltishall village, the Common, and local pubs, shops and other amenities just a short walk away.

There are also bus services to Wroxham and Norwich.
Services
Anchor Cottage and it's associated moorings are located in the former grounds of the old Anchor Hotel a public house originally established in 1836 by the Coltishall Brewery. The Anchor Hotel was sold and converted into a commercial residence circa 1985. In 1994, the current owners Lenny and Fran Howard bought Anchor Cottage and the adjoining land and moorings.
The upper reaches of the river Bure at Coltshall offer relatively small differences between high/low tides and shelter from excessive winds. The Bure above Wroxham Bridge is well known for it's clear waters, and relatively quiet cruising conditions between Coltishall and Wroxham even in the peak summer season.
Our Visitor moorings offer a quieter, more secluded, alternative to the public moorings at Coltishall Common whilst still being within 10-15 minutes walk of all of the amenities of Coltishall common and Coltishall village.

Our Motorhome pitches provide a convenient base from which to explore the Norfolk Broads, The North Norfolk coastline (including Great Yarmouth, Cromer, Sherringham, Blakeney etc) as well as nearby villages, towns and the City of Norwich.Due to demand, especially in peak periods it is advisable to reserve your visitor mooring or motorhome pitch well in advance using the booking form opposite.
Visiting marine engineer available for internal/external boat maintenance and engine/mechanical/electrical repairs and servicing. NEW for 2020: Onsite Shower and Toilet facilities for exclusive use by private owner moorings, entry/access via security code. Local pubs: Rising Sun, Kings Head, The Red Lion, The Recruiting Sergeant all these pubs also serve food.

Probably good for overnight stayers but £5 for day boats. Go a hundred yards further and stop for free at the Rising Sun.

Great quiet place to moor, doesn't matter wether it's just for the night or for a permanent mooring. very well kept, tranquil, and away from the busy parts of the river.
