Our family run business was started in 1979 by my father. He opened his first shop in Baddow Road, Chelmsford before moving on to Witham. Another move saw him travelling to Hornchurch before going full circle back home to Chelmsford, where we are today.
Now in the farm shop is his son in law and daughter, Martin and Leila plus grandson George, who nearly forty years later are still bringing all of his skills, knowledge and experience in purveying good quality fruit and vegetables.We are a family run business, we pride ourselves with good old fashioned and friendly service.

Our product range is extensive and continually changing. This maybe because of the changing seasons or new lines. Below is a sample of what we may have in stock during the year. Please contact us if you would like further information and availability. We stock, in addition to the usual fruit and vegetables, a selection of the more unusual as well.

Today we had an amazing visit as always, fresh produce, helpful friendly staff....... but then another customer complained that my partner Wayne Chapman was not wearing a mask!!!! Was very rude and abusive to… staff and never thought of checking the facts or the law. To this lady who decided to have a go at the entirely wrong people, I say next time if you are concerned for your safety due to covid remember that it is not down to staff to police masks but the ACTUAL police. Or you could ask yourself if the person is exempt we would of happily answered YES in fact you would have found out

It has been my favorite Farm Shop for a couple of years though it’s 30 min drive from my home. Plenty of choices and good products with reasonable price. I wouldn’t believe that 5 kg red new potatoes £3.50. Also, It’s a great idea to order outdoors and all customers kelp good distancing outside. I felt very safe to shop. I would write down the list with quantities next time, it would reduce talking to the staff to protect them as well as others.

We love coming here. The food is fresh and tastes of food, not like the supermarket rubbish. The range we have always found to be extensive and many recipes have been made at home with what we have bought.
The value is brilliant, and we generally find the price better than supermarkets, despite the obvious up step in quality here.
The staff are… knowledgeable and friendly, and the service they provide is first class, always with some chatter too, as they actually have time for their customers, something which is sadly lacking these days.
Would absolutely recommend.

A great shop with a wide range of great produce. The staff well organised and very helpful and friendly. 5 star treatment at all times. Just popped down for some bbq charcoal. They were helpful friendly - great with social distancing and also noticed they had compost which we needed for our newly built garden beds. Two things we have had difficulties purchasing elsewhere. It was great value for money too - thanks guys, I now have a very happy Hubby!

I buy all my fruit and veg from here every week, it's always fresh and lots of variety and the added bonus of getting a lot of my healthy grocerys too. I like the fact that a lot of the fruit and vegetables are not packed in plastic and we can use paper bags to put the food in. You can also take your own containers and choose the amount of frozen food you want and again not keep using throw away plastic. I would definitely keep using you, a great shop! 😊
