I have over 20 years experience of providing Body Psychotherapy and Supervision in Leeds. I am trained in Gestalt Psychotherapy, Energetic Integration, working with individuals and groups with experience of Boarding School, and am also trained in the Pesso-Boyden System (PBSP). As a member of the Independent Practitioners Network (IPN).

I am highly committed to the ongoing availability of ethically based Therapy and Personal Development. I also have experience of teaching on Counselling courses and Supervision of Counselling trainees. My approach has grown out of my long-standing curiosity about the relationships that exist inside ourselves and the way these influence how we engage with others successfully and meaningfully in the world.
Services
Psychotherapy offers a confidential opportunity to talk about whatever is on your mind with an experienced, non-judgmental listener who is well trained in recognising emotional patterns and maladaptive relationships. Finding explanations in terms that are relevant and useful to you, therapy becomes a reflective conversation and sharing of feelings, ideas, and insights.
Body Psychotherapy is the process of becoming more fully who we are. It is a respected tradition that is increasingly recognised and scientifically validated as a missing link in the field of cognitive psychotherapies.

It has evolved over the past 70 years as a result of research in many disciplines such as neuro-physiology, developmental psychology, perinatal studies, and anthropology, combined with a deepening appreciation of eastern and non-european approaches.Although Body Psychotherapists are specifically trained to work with physical touch it is not always necessary to make contact in that way.
Supervision is intended to hold an ethical framework for clients and support the empowerment of supervisees in their role of empowering clients. This is primarily a relational and collaborative process. While meeting our clinical responsibilities, there is also the opportunity for stimulation, challenge and growth.
Many adults are suffering long-term emotional or behavioural difficulties, which stem from having lost normal family life through being sent away to boarding school as children. Amongst the general public, such an education is associated with economic advantage and privilege rather than psychological problems.
