I purchased a clock recently which appeared to have a fairly detailed description.
However when I collected the clock the horse on the top of the clock was misdeeds by a leg and there was no pendulum. None of this was in the description and the only picture was from the opposite side of the clock so you could not see the missing leg. When I challenged the auctioneer, his only defence was that they “have to turn lots around quickly and do not have time to show or describe everything “ they certainly had time to describe goods points !!! I wonder why that is ? Perhaps it’s to dupe people into

I bought a large rug at auction yesterday and my cousin went to pick it up for me today. I had emailed to ask if somebody could help her carry it to the car as she has arthritis. I got no reply and when she turned up the rug was still on the auction floor with heavy pieces of furniture displayed on it. She couldn't move them by herself to get the rug and none of the staff were strong enough to do it either. I really don't think it's too much to expect the rug to be folded and ready to take away without the purchaser having to move heavy items to retrieve it. I won't be buying from this auction
