Micro Plas Mouldings
Giovanni Nieddu's unique combination of the highest standards of technical expertise and passion for his craft has grown into a company that now develops products for a wide range of industries - both traditional and cutting edge. The company's clients now range from The AA and A+T Instruments through to Taylor Woodrow and Warwick University / WMG International.

His career began in Italy with a comprehensive four year training in toolmaking that covered everything from tool design through to the physics behind the processes. After graduating he worked first in gun making, then relocated to the UK where his role included manufacturing the first-ever moulded fountain pen, numerous mould tools and developing the cutting-edge 'red dot' sight for the armed forces.
Services
In 2002 after looking for a moulding company in Yellow Pages, the Nursing Lead from the Sexual Health Unit at Portsmouth Hospitals called us to enquire about the possibility of making a plastic sperm which could be used as an engagement tool in Sexual Health awareness talks with younger people. After some discussions a caricature design was agreed and we made the mould tool that would produce the first batch of the now famous Sperm Keyrings.
Our experienced team can work with you to take your project from an idea right through to manufacture. We can offer advice on design and improvements to functionality. We have in-depth knowledge of plastics moulding and mould tool manufacture. We're experts in materials selection and ways of reducing manufacturing costs.
We've done the design, refined it together with the client, printed a 3D prototype, refined it again, printed another prototype, finalised the production materials and made the tooling. Now for the production run! Injection moulding of all the products we manufacture is done at our dedicated manufacturing facility in Hampshire, UK.
Sperm keyrings can glow-in-the-dark (green or blue), change colour as things heat up (thermochromic purple to pink, green to yellow or blue to natural) or can be made to match almost any colour you want subject to minimum order quantities. They come in small medium or large sizes with a choice of split rings, keyrings (keychain) or ad-loops which can be branded with colours and information to co-ordinate with your campaign.
Roto-Lite Reflectors are perfect for highlighting hazards on any site - no matter how remote. That means they can be easily moved around a site without needing to worry about provision of a power supply or checking that batteries are charged. All you need are standard, open-top cones and Roto-Lite Reflectors that harness the power of the wind and even vehicles moving around the site - the lightest breeze makes the reflectors rotate.
