Great country store at Lawrie & Symington, Lanark. When I Needed 2 small square hay bales on a Sunday they were the only farm store open locally. Great service on lots of other occasions too. Good range of products for farm, equestrian and pets and people. Good prices too.

Only visit the car boot on a Sunday morning. When inside it is very crowded and not one way. Owners do well for Help for Heroes. There is sometimes a dog show on as well.

Really quite shocking to see with my own eyes how poorly these animals are treated whilst "in the care" of Lanark Market staff. An unnecessary step in an an equally unnecessary process of animal exploitation and suffering. Use of electric goads, sticks and rough handling was rife. A very distressing sight to witness but my experience is nothing compared to what the animals are going through. 😢
