For over 80 years, Burgess has remained very much a family run business and has manufactured, without compromise, hand crafted, quality beds for the home, hotels, shipping lines and many more institutions.

Burgess offer different pocket springing systems within their mattress ranges and when combined with the finest fillings, offer unrivalled support.
Over 1500 individually traditional honeycomb nested pocketed springs. Our Classic Collection mattresses offer additional support where needed most with a huge choice of tensions, soft, medium, firm and extra firm. The Original Burgess Ortho mattress. The very first mattress introduced by Burgess over 85 years ago using a time honoured 'rolled edge' technique which reduces roll off and enables you to sleep on the very edge of the mattress.
The GOTS and Soil Assocoation Organic Mattress Collection Handmade in England since 1927 As part of our mission to protect our environment Burgess manufacture a range of mattresses that are certified by the Soil Association. This range of mattresses comply with the very strict GOTS regulations and conform to all UK fire laws without using any chemical treatment on the ticking or pesticides throughout the farming process.

Bought one of their Binary 3000 beds a year or so ago. Really enjoy it. Feels soft to push your hand into, or stand on, but very supportive and comfortable when lying on it. I used to like "hard" beds, but a medium pocket sprung bed with quality fillings is better for me. Sleep a good 8 hours a night now :)
