Mikey Shine is a professional musician now based in the Leicester Forest East and has been teaching Guitar and Bass since 2006 for all levels of expertise from beginner to expert.

Lessons are designed to be enjoyable and fun, They are individually tailored to the students musical preference and ability and structured to include guitar technique, improvement in proficiency, musical appreciation, composition, performance and recording techniques.

My Lessons are structured around the needs of the student with the aim of learning to play the types of music they like. So there is no need to be worried or nervous when you come to your first lesson, all you need is an instrument and a love of music.
There is a minimum of theory, rather you learn the chords and strings you need to be able to play specific tracks you like; this way you can quickly play a tune rather than a number of unrelated chords or notes.You can also have a backing track so you can continue to learn between lessons. Later you can transfer the skills gained to other tracks or artists and play by ear rather than reading music.

He has been writing and performing since 1995 in a number of semi professional and professional bands and have performed at major UK and International festivals and toured Europe, America and Asia with The Happy Mondays and SWR (Shaun William Ryder). He is experienced in both studio work and stage performance in all venue sizes from club to festivals, and work exceptionally well on tour where he can mix with everyone.
Lessons for age 7 and above are 25 ph, located in Leicester Forest East and can be scheduled to suit the students requirements. It's far easier to learn to play the guitar in a structured way with a teacher, rather than struggling alone. Mikey is a professional musician and has years of experience in teaching beginners.
