When I left school around 16 years ago, I knew there was only one thing I wanted to do: join dad in the family business.
I didn't have to think about it - I was just glad that he took me on! We soon found that we made a really good team. Since those early days we've never looked back and today the business remains in good hands and thriving. Benefiting from my father's guidance and experience was invaluable to myself, but I was still determined to undergo formal training in the world of tree surgery.

Services
There are many different aspects to tree maintenance. First we access what the customer would like to benefit from the work required. This could be a number of different things.
It could be that the customer would like more natural light into the property or garden, perhaps it is causing subsidence or structural damage to the property or foundation and in certain cases the tree may have to be completely removed due to ill health such as infection or natural die back.This is a term we use for removing a tree to ground level, this is usually done it 2 ways.

As a company, Herts Tree Surgeons believe that providing a service to maintain trees to the highest standards is very important, but what happens to all the waste material that we produce? The enviroment agency now require all tree surgeons and arboricultural contracters to carry a valid waste transfer licence.
Thank you so much for the work you did pruning the trees in our garden recently. You were all so efficient and courteous and the standard of your work, your experience and expertise mean that we will definitely be calling on you again soon. This is just to say how pleased we are with you and your team with the efficient and tidy removal of one tree and three stumps - it was almost a pleasure to spend the cash!

Have used Kevin in the past, and after the Covid scare of 2020, the routine hedge trimming was missed, making it a bigger job than usual. Kevin and team arrived on schedule, laughed at the hedge and within an hour or so it was reduced to the correct height and thinned as well. When they left, there was no clearing up to do, all done and everything clean and tidy. Will keep using Kevin and team, but must get in earlier next year, to beat the rush!

Kevin and his team come to our garden once a year, I book him up as he finishes the job.
We have always had an excellent service and advice from Kevin. He and his team work very efficiently to do the job and do an excellent one in cleaning up after they have done the work.
I would not hesitate to recommend him to do any work involving trees, bushes etc. A great person and team, very polite and knowledgeable. See you next year.

Herts Tree Surgeons, on several recommendations have just been round to cut back 50% of our 26ft bush at the front our house. This was so overgrown and a mammoth task, but the team were absolutely fantastic. They cut, they shaped and left it looking 1 million times better. I asked Kevin when they were here to quote me for cutting back slightly a fir tree and magnolia which he did and would not charge me for it. I would highly recommend them. They are professional, super friendly, hardworking, and total perfectionists. Even when they had packed up, they noticed a random branch slightly not aligned
