Burtonwood Community Primary School is committed to ensuring that all children are treated fairly and have equal access to the full range of educational opportunities provided by the school. The school has ensured that it is fulfilling the requirements of the Equality Act 2010 for children, staff and all other stakeholders.
We are five schools, one high school and four primary schools, all serving the West Warrington area focused around Great Sankey. We want our young people to grow with a pride in their local community and an understanding of their place in it. We are committed to ten core values that we visit regularly and test our daily provision against.
The council and its partners from the early years sector, health and education are working together to put a new plan in place so that children living in Warrington have access to the support they need to achieve the expected levels of development in the early years so that they are ready to start school.
We have had great support from the Wolves Foundation over the years, delivering coaching and PE sessions to our Year 3 and 4 classes, leading up to a SKY Try tournament each spring term. At this time of year, the Wolves Foundation alongside Cheshire Fire and Rescue usually host a rugby competition, called the Fire 7s, at the Halliwell Jones Stadium for Years 5 and 6.
