Services
Beneath every building earmarked for demolition or site awaiting clearance is a raft of regulations and permissions, which we handle from beginning to end. James Berry oversees projects personally, from handling demolition notices, site, safety and volumetric surveys, and leading his team on site. We dismantle structures with plant and by hand, remove old foundations and trees (if necessary), and earmark materials for re-use or recycling.
J S Berry has a natural affinity to the agricultural and equestrian sector, we're very near the M6 but set in the countryside. We've consequently completed many projects, from major agricultural works to small stables. We can handle anything from constructing farmyards able to withstand any kind of vehicle or animal traffic to excavating NVZ (nitrogen vulnerable zone) compliant slurry lagoons.
Construction is a rapidly evolving side of our business, not only do we prepare sites ready for construction but have developed a wide pool of building expertise for those who want to channel their project through one contractor. We work with established architects and if you are planning a small to medium sized project, whether it's a house extension or homes development, we'll work hard to suit your budget.
We're very aware of environmental concerns, based as we are near the M6 but in a rural location. Demolition is a constructive task requiring care and experience, we'll even manage to keep fragile stained-glass windows intact. Tiles, timber beams, sills, stonework, and bricks, all are kept for re-use.

They have surveyed our old septic tank for new house purchase. Agreed for a quotation and the price was dropped by the lenders. Spoke to Jamie and he promised to do it. No response after several phone calls to his number and office. Within a month now they say they have stopped their services and could not do it. They could have informed about this. Now stuck with wrong quotation as others are quoting quite high. Very unprofessional.

From pre planning advice on how to resolve my hay storage problems ...to clearing a badly used area of my stable yard...to the neat groundwork and the professional team of skilled workers who built a smart and practical hay store .. the service and standard of work has been beyond excellent!
James and his co-workers are considerate ...listen to my requests and didnt forget the little extras I mentioned. They kept me informed at each stage and in one month turned an old shed and rubbish dump area into a smart barn with an integral link corridor that more than does its job. I could not wait to start
