Halymyres Stables is situated near Aberdeen, just 1.5 miles south of Stonehaven on the A92. Easy access for vehicles with ample parking and turning areas. A wide range of horses and ponies are available for lessons and hacks for beginners to advanced riders. All teaching staff employed are their qualified AI, SVQ level 3, training to become a level 3 coach.
We also have our large 65 x 30 metre rubber, floodlit all weather riding arena. Fiona is a certified Reiki Practitioner/Master who is now offering both Reiki to humans and animals here at Halymyres Stables.

Services
I am now happy to offer my service of reiki healing here at Halymyres Stables, due to the current climate it has been asked to be introduced to the stables for clients and animals such as horses, dogs, cats and other animals. Reiki takes place at the yard with the reiki for people taking place in my reiki room here at the stables.
On the A90, take the A92 slip road signposted Montrose/Arbroath. From the south on the A90 take the A92 slip road signposted Stonehaven/Banchory. Then when the dual carriageway changes to single, turn right at the black and white horse and Halymyres Riding Stables sign. Take the immediate left turn, follow the road up and round the corner.

We stayed in the holiday caravans and had an amazing time. My granddaughter loved the own a pony morning. Her first time riding. The instructor was fantastic and fun, so much so we had to book a lesson for her the next day. Can’t recommend them highly enough and so impressed with the way the horses were cared for and never overworked. A big well done to you all and wish you the very best for your next venture.

Me and my family stayed at Lorna's onsite accomodation and had an absolutely lovely time, She was an amazing host really helpful and friendly and the farm is beautiful and offers amazing views and also the surrounding area is lovely and lots to see and do, we are looking forward to be able to book and go again.

I’ve been having lessons at Halymyres for 3 months now and I couldn’t recommend it more. I rode regularly as a child but hadn’t ridden for years. Lorna and all the staff were so friendly and welcoming. The level of instruction in every lesson is superb. I learn (and remember) so much each time I go.
The stables are clean and the horses are obviously very well cared for.
I can’t stop smiling after today’s lesson. I feel like a kid again. Thank you Halymyres 😊

Took 2 kids 7 & 10 for own a pony for 1/2 day (2.5 hours) as a present. They had no prior experience & loved it. Equipment provided with an hour grooming followed by an hour riding, then lunch included in the… cafe with their new friends. Instructors were great, kids learnt a lot (so much more than I thought for a first time) & had a great experience. Viewing gallery & cafe make it ideal for parents & grand parents alike to enjoy. Everyone so friendly & it was great value. Highly recommended.
