Hogholm Stables is the only yard in Scotland to be awarded BHS Approved Yard & Facility Hire 'Highly Commended' and 'Outstanding Performance' status in 2016, 2015, 2014, 2013, 2012, 2011 and 2010. Run by riders for riders, Hogholm Stables is conveniently located only 2 1/2 miles from Kintore and Inverurie, and 15 miles from Aberdeen city centre.

Sited in beautiful countryside with wonderful views of Bennachie and the rolling Garioch landscape, the yard offers easy access to all the main competition centres in North East Scotland. Competition-standard facilities are complemented by experienced, friendly staff, who hold either BHS or British Grooms Association qualifications.
Services
The 'Hoggi Horses' come in all shapes and sizes, and include dressage divas, effervescent eventers, cuddly cobs and amiable all-rounders. All enjoy the same levels of individual care, comfort, safety and facilities. Most have lived at Hogholm for a number of years and we hope that those joining us more recently will draw their pony pensions here.
Lorna Anderson, British Dressage (BD) Group 4 rider/producer, offers flatwork coaching and Test Riding clinics, in addition to producing her own and clients' dressage horses. A management consultant and communications trainer in her previous career, she believes in working in partnership with her pupils to identify goals, and strategies for achieving them.
We're passionate about the comfort and well-being of the horses in our care, and have built up a first class network of equine healthcare professionals, both resident at Hogholm and visiting. We're proud to be agents for both WOW Saddles and SemiFlex Saddles, and offer refits and saddle trials in our excellent indoor or outdoor arenas.
Lorna Anderson and Graham Evans, working together as Saddlery Scotland, offer bespoke saddle-making and regular saddle-fitting clinics at Hogholm Farm Stables and yards throughout the north of Scotland. Although the focus is on WOW and SemiFlex, all makes of saddles are refitted. Graham has been a saddle-maker for 47 years, specialising in bespoke saddles for performance horses.
Go to Hatton of Fintray (4 miles); turn left for Kintore and, roughly 1 mile on, turn right for Inverurie. After 1 mile, Hogholm is on your left after the S-bend. Head for Newmachar, turning left for Hatton of Fintray at the Parkhill Bridge (just after the bridge over the River Don on the outskirts of Dyce).
