While we have decided that our venue is not ready for opening this soon, we will update you all as soon as we have a date for reopen here at The Lighthouse too. In the meantime, we hope you can enjoy a drink in the sun at our other venues and hope to see you soon! We have news!
Although we are remaining closed for a little longer, we are excited to tell you that our sister venues @theoxfordretreat and @thecowleyretreat are preparing to open their doors very soon. Both venues have gardens for you to enjoy a drink in the (hopefully) continued good weather and are pulling out all the stops to make sure you stay safe in the process.

Services
Once a canal pub famous as Navigation End, the Queens Arms, Rosie O'Gradys and The Duke's Cut. Now The Lighthouse carries on the centuries old, rich tradition of quality hospitality and service in Oxford's West End. The pub is built on the remains of a Baptist meeting house, destroyed in 1715. By 1830, James Pacey ran the pub as 'Navigation End' and Pacey's Bridge, which runs across the Lighthouse, is named after him.
The Lighthouse tapas-restaurant concept combines lighter-portion cuisine with an emphasis on interactive social dining - not simply dining amongst friends, but sharing dinner with friends. We serve Spanish tapas with some fusion concepts on our menu as well. The versatility of our tapas menu makes The Lighthouse one of the best places to eat in Oxford city centre at any time of the day.
An unwavering commitment to our mixology principles, our cocktail list is made up of a blend of in-house creations and classic recipes. Our bar staff are proficient in cocktail service, ensuring each drink is crafted with detail using premium spirits and the freshest of fruit. The Reserve Collection boasts an array of boutique gins and rums unique to Oxford.
Dine in the heart of The Lighthouse where traditional maritime scenes compliment our verdant riverside view. At The Lighthouse, we invite you to join us in The Galley on a culinary cruise through the Mediterranean with tapas dishes ranging from the deep flavours of our Cordero Estofado, to the aromatic pan-seared Bacalao, and sweet and salty Pimientos Verdes.
The Lighthouse Boiler Room, and the rest of The Lighthouse is Nautica-Steampunk themed. Our riverside setting acted as the inland beacon and tavern for navigators of the Oxford Canal in the early 19th Century. So too our interior design and carefully placed lighting creates a bright and cheerful 'house of light' in which to host your private event or party.

Lovely tapas and cocktails! The selection of cocktails were great and very tasty, especially their espresso Martini! Would recommend going during happy hour for cheaper cocktails! Although there wasn't loads of choice of tapas, all of the food that we ordered was delicious and I felt very catered for as a pescitarian! Staff were lovely. Would recommend!
