A bit about myself: my name's Stuart and I've been playing the piano since the age of 11 - and that's quite some time, 40 years to be exact! As a youngster, I was naturally drawn to playing the piano and would practise for the love of it. Nobody had to force me to practise, parents included! I loved playing the piano and wanted to.
What's more, I still do, and every day for me is a piano playing day. This goal has been a fun and enjoyable journey. My aim now is to help to enable you and/or your child/ren to work towards achieving your own piano playing goals in accordance with your own dreams and wishes - whilst having fun of course, as has been my experience, along the way.

Services
As a qualified secondary school teacher, I am fully experienced and conversant with current and best educational practice with regard to one-to-one piano tuition. My aim in teaching children (usually from about 7 or 8 years old onwards) is to ensure that lessons are as fun, engaging and musical as possible.
How to practise and how much to practise? Practice with a purpose is much, much better than practice without a clearly defined goal! Always know whether at any given time you are "practising" or "playing". They are two different things. We practise in order to make playing better. This might seem obvious, but this fundamental approach to practice can often be over-looked.
