All of our team members are keen sailors with a wide range of experience in cruising and racing offshore. During the rallies all of the team will wear yellow World Cruising Club polo shirts. Our 'yellow shirts' will be on hand to help every day, from taking your lines to ensuring the social activities go with a swing.
World Cruising Club organises ocean sailing events around the world. The rallies are devised for the 'average' cruising boat and crew; helping people to realise their dream of making a long offshore passage. The company was formed by Jimmy Cornell following the success of the very first ARC (Atlantic Rally for Cruisers) transatlantic rally in 1986.
Starting from Saint Lucia and Australia, World ARC is the voyage of a lifetime. A 26000 NM tradewind circumnavigation with our team in every port ensuring a warm welcome. World ARC is a mix of cruising in company and free time to explore. Make a full circumnavigation or sail half a rally. The pace keeps the fleet together, enjoying the shore-side activities as a group, while staying with the best weather.
ARC+ takes sailors across the Atlantic from Gran Canaria to the Caribbean via the Cape Verde archipelago. Originally launched in response to the ever growing popularity of the ARC, the route via the Cape Verde islands is now firmly established as a standalone rally with its own unique identity.

The Cape Verde islands are ideally placed for boats to sail 'south until the butter melts' and the route includes a 4 to 6 day stopover at Mindelo, Sao Vicente providing crews with an opportunity to discover the enchanting local culture, lively nightlife and bustling food markets that make the Cape Verdes a fascinating place to visit. The new landfall marina is Camper & Nicholsons Port Louis Marina.
The ARC is a 'must do' for many sailors, and attracts over 200 boats and 1200 people every year to sail 2700 NM across the Atlantic from Gran Canaria to Saint Lucia. The ARC is for everyone; families with children, tough racers, cruising couples, big boats and modest boats. Crossing the Atlantic together, but having their own adventures.
