Here's an idea: Why not go home once in a while and live your life? Focus on what you're good at; leave the rest to me. Good copy is important! How you write about your business is vital to its success. If it's worth doing, it's worth doing well. There are no short cuts and no silver bullets; if you want to express yourself properly, you have to put the hours in.
Good copy takes time. You could try to do everything yourself as well as your "real" job, or you could use the help of someone who writes copy for a living. Which is better for you and your business? You're an accountant? Great; I'm terrible with numbers. An IT manager? I'm always putting the wrong attachment into the wrong socket.

A thorough project brief, asking you questions you probably hadn't considered before, to get to the heart of what you'd like to say. You're thinking: this all sounds okay, but does he have enough in-depth knowledge of my industry? I didn't know much about the next generation Internet before I researched and wrote copy on it, but my company still ended up winning its first-ever World Communication Awards after I'd finished.
When you use me to write your copy, you won't ever have to worry that you'll need a dictionary to understand what I've given you. I don't write to show off how wonderful my English is. I don't try to dazzle you or your clients with my witty descriptions of your products or services. Why? Because it's not about me -- in a sense, it's not even about you -- it's about your clients and what they think.
The thing about the people who design the search engine algorithms, however, is that (a) they're really clever, (b) they're a thousand times more tech-savvy than you and me and (c) they hate to see their results manipulated. So over the years we've seen many changes to the algorithms in an attempt to weed out the websites that have gained their rankings through "black hat" skulduggery.
With a background in languages -- BSc (Hons.) in Modern Languages (French and Japanese) from Aston University in the UK -- I know the importance of choosing the right words and putting them in their correct context. I enjoy the challenge of taking something difficult and making it easy enough for a layperson to understand, which is why I've done a lot of technical copy in my career.
What you see in my Portfolio are a few ways I've been able to help my clients express themselves. I'm in no way technically-minded, but have done a lot of work for hi-tech companies. That's not a contradiction. It's because I need to ask questions and understand things for myself that I'm able to express in simple terms what's really important.
