If there isn't a calculator for the type of book you want please give a us a call. Where prices are quoted for production from print-ready files this applies to both the text and cover. Services
We are an established independent firm based in Gloucester. The business was started in 1982. We help and advise publishers including authors who are publishing their own work. We've worked on 1000s of titles of just about every genre since 1982 including law, medicine, accountancy, social sciences and of course fiction (including the first Gollancz editions of Terry Pratchett's Wyrd Sisters, Pyramids and Guards Guards).
As numerous authors have successfully demonstrated, self-publishing in the UK has taken off. In fact, the number of self-published books as a percentage of published books sold here is increasing annually. We've all got a book in us. Is it time your fiction or non-fiction masterpiece became reality?
Use our calculators to get an instant guide price for production of some popular print on demand book sizes and formats. If there isn't a calculator for the type of book you want please give a us a call. Choose a Type 1 or Type 2 calculator below to get an instant estimate to publish your book. Where prices are quoted for production from print-ready files both the text and cover need to be print ready.
It's only a few years ago that getting a book published usually meant approaching publishers, or trying to find a literary agent first. Publishing yourself was a minority activity. Learning how to publish a book successfully was strictly for the experts and getting into print with any semblance of professionalism meant forging close relationships with the publishing establishment.
Over the last 10 years the number of high street bookshops has more than halved although the number of books sold has increased, so it's clearly important for authors to have their books listed by online booksellers because competition for shelf space is fierce and requires wholesale discounts that are unsustainable for most self-published books.
